Redirect defaultwebpage.cgi
If I try and access my host server directly without any ports or subdomains specified, I am redirected to defaultwebpage.cgi.
Is there a simply way of redirecting users to my website instead?
I have seen this solution but was wondering whether there was a more elegant method...

Hi, It will work and show you the website only if you have a dedicated IP for a website and that you are browsing the dedicated IP in the browser directly. However, if the IP is a shared IP, then it will show you the default cPanel page. Think of it like it is a shared IP, so many websites on the server using the same IP, so what do you expect the webserver be delivering? it is shared across many accounts, so webserver is not going to decide what website it should display when you browse the shared IP... Use dedicated IP for website and browse the IP directly, it will show the website that it is associated with.. 0 -

Hello, You can also use "WHM >> Web Template Editor" if you want to change what the default website page looks like: Web Template Editor - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0
