Correct DNS Settings for Addon Domains
Hello,
In my Dedicated server, I operate multiple cPanel accounts, some of which are shared with my staff.
I currently use at least 4 different pairs of Nameservers between my websites.
We operate and develop many websites, so new ones are added constantly.
I have an major inconvenience, which is the need of having to manually correct the Nameserver settings of my new addon domains constantly.
For example, lets say these are my four pairs of nameservers:
cPanel Account 1: n1.site1.com. ns2.site1.com (Main/Default)
cPanel Account 2: n1.site2.com. ns2.site2.com
cPanel Account 3: n1.site3.com. ns2.site3.com
cPanel Account 4: n1.site4.com. ns2.site4.com
Ideally, I'd like all new addon domains in in each cPanel Account to get the correctly corresponding nameserver settings.
So when I add an addon domain to "cPanel Account 3", it should automatically get the nameservers: n1.site3.com. ns2.site3.com
Unfortunately, it appears as though the way WHM/cPanel currently works, ALL new addon domains will get the settings of the Main/Default nameserver.
Is there any way I can get my addon domains to automatically take the DNS settings of it's cPanel account?
Or, is it possible for new addon domains to take the DNS settings of the domain's registrar?
In WHM, this option is present:
Home " Account Functions " Create a New Account
DNS Settings
Use the nameservers specified at the Domain"s Registrar. (Ignore locally specified nameservers.)
Can I do something like this automatically for addon domains?
Or can I do some setup which cases addon domains to take some defined DNS settings (or it's parent account) instead of taking the WHM's default settings?
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi, For testing, try converting the normal cPanel account into a reseller account.. Check the below link in which it is mentioned the thing that you are looking for.. Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges - Documentation - cPanel Documentation "You may assign nameserver IP addresses for accounts that the reseller creates, and add A entries for those addresses." 0
