Access multiple user directories from 1 SSH user without root permissions
For our deployment process we"re investigating the possibility of using a single SSH user (without root permissions) to access the files of multiple cPanel accounts. We created a new user (with useradd) on the server, unfortunately the possibilities that we tried seem to lead to even more questions.
" As a test, we added the new user to the wheel group but this doesn"t seem to enable super user permissions, even though I expected this to work. Did we forget something in the process of creating the super user?
" Trying to set permissions on the targeted user directories using setfacl doesn"t allow the user to see the files of the accounts. Does setfacl even work with CloudLinux/CageFS/WHM?
Hopefully somebody is able to help us get information about these issues, it would help us get our deployment process completed! Thanks!

Hello, The following documents provide some information about authenticating via SSH with CageFS: CageFS > Managing Users CloudLinux Documentation However, I'm not sure if you are seeking is easily configured with CloudLinux/CageFS. You may want to post on their support forums or submit a ticket to their support team to confirm if this is possible: CloudLinux - Main | New template Thank you. 0
