Disabling cPanel interface access EasyApache 4
Hello,
We are trying to completely disable access to cPanel/WHM/Mail on clients' accounts.
There's a few older topics with instructions that we followed:
Rename /cpanel or /WHM become /newname and here:
I want /webmail gone!
but it looks the procedure is different with EasyApache 4, as it does not support
apache_conf_distiller script.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hello, Would you like to only disable access to the /cpanel, /whm, and /webmail links, or would you like to completely block access to cPanel and Web Host Manager? To completely block access, you can use the Host Access Control feature documented at: Host Access Control - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
I would think that rather than messing with the apache config, it would be easiest to just close the ports for those services in your firewall, and whitelist your own IPs to access them. 0 -
Hi, There is no need to play with the firewall in the first place. What Michael said is the appropriate way to deal with this. You just have to deny access for all and allow access only to certain IPs if you required, otherwise, you can disable the access for any service you like. The hostaccess is the traditional TCP wrapper thing that uses hosts.allow in the backend.. 0
