Error Can't open perl script
Hi,
Some customers are complaining they are getting in the default mailboxes an email from cron:
Can't open perl script "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/quickinstall/scripts/checkupdates.pl": No such file or directory
I can"t find under /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty any software that has this checkupdate.pl file.
Any way to know why this error is happening and how to avoid it? I don"t want to overload the default email accounts for my customers

It might be an old script that existed in a prior version of cPanel. If it's coming from a cron, simple edit the user's crontab and remove it. 0 -
Hello, That's not a file or directory included with cPanel. It likely stems from a third-party plugin that was previously installed on the system, as mentioned in the previous post. You can browse the user cron files directly from the /var/spool/cron/ directory via SSH if you want to quickly see or modify the cron jobs for the accounts on the server. Thank you. 0 -
Ok, I was asking more if this was coming from a particular script. Since they were migrated accounts maybe this was a software from the old hosting provider. Thanks! 0
