Spam Assassin Running At 100% CPU randomly

Has anyone run into Spam Assassin running at 100% at random times? I am not to familiar with debugging Spam Assassin and I am not sure where to start looking. The program eventually runs the course and goes back to a normal operating level. This is occurring at least once a week. Anyone have any thoughts?

  Hello, Could you confirm which version of cPanel is installed on this system? You can check with the following command:
  cat /usr/local/cpanel/version
