Dedicated mailing IP per user account
We are having some issues with our WHM configuration.
We have a Server with 62 IP addresses. Added some example accounts and set dedicated IP. Then proceeded to Exim config and changed option
Send mail from account"s dedicated IP address - meaning each user account mails from its dedicated ip. This failed to work and email was delivered from the servers MAIN IP.
So we decided to go manually and edit /etc/mailips
reference /etc/mailips for outgoing SMTP connections [?]
We set this and it still is using the servers main ip address
Here are some of the entries from our testing in mailips folder
web1.com: 208.234.5.x
web2.com: 208.234.5.x
I hidden the last numeric value for our server security.
We just want to know why it isnt working and still proceeds to use the main server ip rather than the dedicated IP assigned to that account. I also tried this on 1 of our other servers with the same result.

The docs for this should be of some use: How to Configure the Exim Outgoing IP Address - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation 0 -

Is this a typo? mailips is a file, not a folder. Here are some of the entries from our testing in mailips folder web1.com: 208.234.5.x web2.com: 208.234.5.x
Do these accounts have dedicated IPs?0 -

Sorry i meant mailips FILE. Yes these accounts all have dedicated IP addresses as listed prntscr.com/fl8zto Also having the exact same issue on this server prntscr.com/fl94t6 you can see here the MAIN ip and the 2 dedicated IP addresses. I have changed the Exim configuration to reference etc/mailips prntscr.com/fl95n0 But it still delivers using the servers MAIN ip address0 -
