'Low Priority' transfer
Hi Everyone,
I've got hopefully a simple question.
The cPanel transfer tool has an option for 'Low Priority' that states:
"Low Priority transfers run with a lower CPU and disk IO priority on the source server. This option will reduce the impact to performance on the source server, but it will increase the time it takes to transfer accounts."
I've already read:
Transfer Tool - Documentation - cPanel Documentation
I can't find how it works through. I'm guessing it uses
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/cpuwatch somehow to limit load, however I want to know where it's set and gets it's values from?

Hello, The "Low Priority" option ensures the pkgacct process is spawned with cpuwatch on the source server: /usr/local/cpanel/bin/cpuwatch 4.0 /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/pkgacct
The default load numbers and ionice values are hard-coded and not configurable when using this option. I encourage you to open a feature request if you'd like to see functionality added to allow more control over those values when accounts are transferred: Submit A Feature Request Thank you.0 -
Hey Michael, Thanks for that! Good to know :) 0
