Floating IP / load balancing
Is it possible to set up cPanel /whm server to utilise a floating IP for example, using the method described here:

What method would you suggest to replicate Server A to Server B? For me, a nightly rsync would be sufficient - is there a better / more instantaneous method?
Also in such a case, would this require two cPanel licenses - if there are two servers (server A is copied as a mirror to server B) - but the IP is the same?
I think this could be a good way to get a basic level of cPanel redundancy?

Hi, If the IP is going to be the same and is going to swap in case primary server goes down, then you do not need 2 license because the cPanel license is based on IP address. Secondly, you got to think of below situation too: If primary server goes down, IP is switched to the server B, Server B is online, but when server A is again online, it will take its place, so what about the data that is updated on the server B meanwhile server A was down? 0 -
Hello, There's no native support for load balancing or high availability, however you may find some of the comments on the following feature requests helpful (some of them are discussing examples of how they have implemented similar setups): Server configuration and data auto-sync (mirroring) Active-Active Redundancy or High-availability Built-in load balancing, replication, high availability Thank you. 0
