Creating a backup, and restoring it
Hello everyone. I recently migrated my website to godaddy in order to have full root access.
I use prestashop to sell spare parts online. Since I want to update it, I made a backup (full) and downloaded it to my PC. When I started making it, a little notification was written above it :
"A full backup will create an archive of all the files and configurations on your website. You can only use this to move your account to another server, or to keep a local copy of your files. You cannot restore full backups through your cPanel interface."
What does that mean? What is the point of a "full backup" if I can't restore it by using cPanel?
Thanks in advance!

Hello, With root access, you can now use the backup and restore features included in Web Host Manager. For instance, if you want to restore a backup generated through cPanel, you'd use the option documented at: Restore a Full Backup cpmove File - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Additionally, the following document is useful when using WHM for the first time: How to Log in to Your Server or Account - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thanks! 0 -
Thanks for your info. 0
