FTP Client Connection Problem

Hi, Can anyone offer some advice please? I can't connect to a new account that I've created on my server using my FTP client, I keep getting a host not found message. I've tried more than one FTP client application and get the same message - so it must be a setting on the server. My DNS records seem to be okay because I can get to the public html through a web browser. I don't have any problem connecting to other accounts on the same server so I figure it maybe could be something relating to the account security settings on cPanel or WHM? Help please.

  Have you tried using the server IP instead of the domain?

  Is the domain propagating correctly to the server, If its host nor found means the DNS is not resolving try using Server IP in hostname to check if things are working.

  Just tried swapping out the ftp address for the server ip address and I've got a connection but - I have multiple domain accounts on the same IP address and I can't tell on the client where exactly it's connected me to on the file structure?

  Well, if you're connecting to the server by IP, and cPanel username and password, you'd be connected to that users account.

  You might double check using intodns.com

  Thanks - all sorted. Strange but there was no ftp record in the DNS settings for that account on WHM.
