Transport ends before backup completes
Hi,
I have scheduled backups which transports to Amazon S3 and it works flawlessly most times.
However, this morning I got the backup transport failure email and on checking the transport log, I discovered that the transport queue was finished while cpanel was still backing up a moderately large account (cpanel size - 72GB, compressed size - 49GB).
I'm hoping there will be a way to prevent this in future where the transporter checks for running backup processes before quitting.
Regards.

Hello, The transport process should only occur after the backup archive has generated. Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look at what happened on this system? Thank you. 0 -
That was a server wide backup and transfer job. 110 cpanel accounts had already been backed up and transported to Amazon S3, I believe the 111th account was taking a long time (cpanel size - 72GB, compressed size - 49GB) and the transporter finished processing the current queue before the next archive was generated. Hence the quit. Do you still require that I open the ticket? Regards. 0 -
Hello, Yes, could you still open a support ticket so we can take a closer look to see why the backup transport stopped working before an archive for each account was generated? Thank you. 0 -
Hi Michael, A support ticket has been created detailing the issue. Support Request ID is: 8743551 Regards. 0 -
UPDATE: After troubleshooting by cPanel support staff and carefully examining the backup transfer process to Amazon S3, (and a subsequent successful backup and upload) it does seem to have just been a concurrent connection issue rather than any problem with the cpanel upload process. 0
