MySQL fails and recovers every morning
Hi everyone,
longtime listener, first time caller.

A few months back mySQL began failing and then recovering at approximately the same time every morning (3.50am - 4.00am).
The alert email shows multiple lines of:
/usr/sbin/mysqld: Out of memory (Needed 3789200 bytes)
and then:
/usr/sbin/mysqld: Normal shutdown
/usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown complete
Memory Information
Used 5.84 GB
Available 4.48 GB
Installed 10.32 GB
Load Information
0.62 1.49 2.17
After Googling I checked the Daily Cron jobs and there is a /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/upcp --cron
which today for example started at 3.53am and completed at 4.19am.
After a call to the server provider,
Due to the time of day this has been occurring it hasn't been a huge problem. But of late some clients have begun using up-time monitoring services via their seo agents, who then hand out torches and pitchforks.
I have searched the logs I can find but cannot see any correlation between events/errors at this time. (aside from the timing of the upcp --cron job)
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
