Connect to an external MSSQL database

Hello, I want to configure a VPS to allow users to connect to external MSSQL Database servers. What are the correct steps to install and configure this? What other software or configurations do I need to do? I will use a fresh install of CentOS 7 + latest version of cPanel + EA4. I would appreciate it if someone can give me some tried and tested steps. Thank you.

  Hello, First, browse to "WHM >> EasyApache 4" and enable/install "mssql" as a PHP extension in your existing profile for the version of PHP you want to set this up for. Then, review the user-submitted instructions on the following URL and let us know if that helps: EasyApache 4 PDO_DBLIB (mssql support) Thank you.
