Split Horizon DNS?

Does cPanel support split horizon DNS (Internal recursive and external non-recursive bind views) or will it just simply let me configure bind to do it myself? I'm considering doing a cPanel/WHM install to maintain my Linux server and this is the issue I'm grappling with before I install.

  Hello, There's no support for this type of setup at this time, however I encourage you to vote and review the existing comments on the feature request page for this functionality: Support for split DNS to allow seperate internal/external zone files Thank you.

  Thanks I will vote on that. Is it possible to make modifications to named.conf myself to set this up and let cpanel leave them alone?
