Nameserver Setup Question

Hello. I have two new servers with whm each. I also have the possibility to use 4 public IP. My question is: Shall i use two IP for each Hostname and the other two IP for each name server? Or is it better to use the same ip for a host and a name server, and a second ip for the other host and the other name server? Option1: srv01.myhost.com IP1 srv02.myhost.com IP2 ns1.myhost.com IP3 ns2.myhost.com IP4 Option2: srv01.myhost.com IP1 srv02.myhost.com IP2 ns1.myhost.com IP1 ns2.myhost.com IP2 A last question, is it important to add an A entry for the hostnames and the name servers?

  Hello, I recommend using this option, as otherwise you'd have to setup DNS clustering between two servers used for hosting (clustering isn't recommended in a two-way sync setup).

  A last question, is it important to add an A entry for the hostnames and the name servers?

  Solved. So i'll start with the initial_setup_wizard using option 2 and adding A Registers in Step4 for the three componentes (hostname, nameserver1 and nameserver2). Thank you, for helping me. 48227
