How to issue and use cPanel SSL option
Hi,
As far as I know there is a free / open source SSL certificate provider - Let"s Encrypt.
When I asked my hosting provider to add it to my cpanel he told me that he can't add the Let"s Encrypt option - but that there is a way to issue a free SSL certificate directly from cpanel.
So now I have a new icon with SSL/TSL under security section in my cpanle.
When clicking on this icon I get:
Private Keys (KEY)
Generate, view, upload, or delete your private keys.
Certificate Signing Requests (CSR)
Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.
Certificates (CRT)
Generate, view, upload, or delete SSL certificates.
Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS)
Manage SSL sites.
Can someone please help me with a step by step explanation on how to issue / generate and install a SSL certificate on my domain?
Thanks!
Ram

Hi, Yes, the cPanel does provide the free SSL from Comodo, and is incorporated in the AutoSSL, but it cannot be issued from a cPanel area. If you do not have a root access, then you should ask your hosting provider to issue the cPanel provided free SSL for your website.. 0 -

Thanks. What free SSL from comodo? are you referring to the 90 days trial? Thanks! Ram0 -
Hello, The free cPanel-signed SSL certificate from Comodo is not a trial, but rather a domain-validated SSL certificate that's always free and renewed automatically. You can read more about the AutoSSL feature at: Manage AutoSSL - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0
