DNS Lookup time

I am facing this issue where I am unable to bring down the DNS lookuptime of the site. I am wondering if the DNS setup I have is correct, which is: 1. VPS is hosted in Singapore and there is only 1 site on the VPS. 2. DNS records(A, AAA, CNAME etc.) are being managed on Google Cloud DNS. 3. Domain registrar is X, whose nameservers are pointed to Google Cloud nameservers. 4. BIND is active on the server with same DNS records replicated as on Google cloud. About 2 weeks back the setup was the same except instead of DNS records were being managed on GoDaddy and nameservers at domain registrar pointed to GoDaddy's nameservers. We shifted to Google Cloud DNS assuming that Google's widespread infrastructure would help bring down the DNS lookup time, which during all this time varies between 400ms - 600ms. However, movement to Google Cloud DNS hasn't made any difference. Test location is from Mumbai and Bangalore, India, hence the lookup times make no sense at all. Is there anything than can be changed to reduce the DNS lookup time?

  Hello, There's nothing you could change on the cPanel server to decrease the DNS response time if the DNS is managed on a remote server (through Google). You'd need to check with their support team to see if there's any specific reason for the slower response times.
