    Hello, The rsyslog RPM is part of your operating system and isn't an application that cPanel publishes or controls. Manually installing a version outside of what your operating system provides is unsupported. I recommend posting to the CentOS forums for help manually installing a newer version on CentOS 6: CentOS 6 - General Support - CentOS Thank you.

    Hello, Keep in mind that while cPanel does not provide the rsyslog package, it does interact with the rsyslog service (e.g. with Chkservd/Service Manager). Since we do not test the product with custom rsyslog versions, it's possible using a custom version can lead to unsupported issues related to how cPanel interacts with the service. Thank you.
