cPanel and Website issues after update

following a reboot after a WHM update none of WHM, CPanel or any of the hosted websites are working properly - SSH works. - FTP doesn't work - requesting any of the hosted websites, WHM or CPanel from the outside work simply timeout. - requesting any of the websites from the server shell (wget) give varying results. --- WHM returns "Authorization failed." --- some websites completely fail --- some websites load - after a 20-30 second delay there are plenty of resources available. 3% cpu 1.3gb of 16gb ram used have so far tried - disable cPhulk - disable firewall - cpanel autorepair - rebooted the server easily 20+ times in the last couple hours. - yum cleaned and updated what else can I try ??   Any error logs? I'd also be cautious having CPHulk running as well as firewall (lfd?) but that doesn't relate directly to your issue.
