Migrating Sites Between Clustered cPanel Machines

Hi, Our current setup is 4 nameservers shared across 4 CPanel Machines that are clustered. We are adding a 5th now in preparation for a migration, where we will move sites from 2 existing machines to the new server and then eventually deprecate those 2 servers. How does the transfer process work between servers that are clustered together, where all that will change is the A records? If we use the CPanel to CPanel transfer system, does it do this automatically? How does it know which IP to use if the site exists on both machines? TIA

  Hello, The "Transfer Tool" option will update the DNS zones of the transferred domain names to the new IP address associated with the destination server they are transferred to. The DNS cluster receives the updated zone during the account transfer process as long as both hosting servers are configured with the "write-only" or "synchronize changes" role. The cluster uses the DNS zone most recently created or updated, so you'd need to avoid updating the DNS zone for the transferred domain name on the source server after copying the account.
