SoftException in Application.cpp is writeable by group
Overnight accounts with index.php permissions 664 have quite working with error
SoftException in Application.cpp is writeable by group
These are files owned and grouped by the user ID so there is no issue with them being GID writable.
Is this a cPanel change? Version 11.64 (38)
I checked backups snapshots and sites had been fine with permissions 664 as I see a history of index.php always being 664.

Hello Steve, Did you make any recent changes to the PHP handler? That error typically occurs when switching from DSO to suPHP. PHP handlers are documented at: PHP Handlers - EasyApache 4 - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
No it happened while I was sleeping. Hmm, looks like may be some CloudLinux stuff. Servers magically switched from lsapi to suphp Bet looking at yum log I'll see CL doing updates last night :( Thanks Michael 0 -
