Block user <> email for imap login

Hi all We are again getting loads of distributed imap login attempts from primarily China with users such as support, postmaster, contact, etc. With "loads of" I mean tens of thousands per day on some servers. All accounts on server uses email accounts to login to email (no-one uses account name, only email@accountdomain.com) So my "simple" question is: Is there any way to block dovecot login attempts from users that are not email addresses (testing on if @ exists in user would be enough for us)

  Hello, It's not possible to block IP addresses that make specific types of authentication requests through any settings in cPanel & WHM, however you could use a firewall management utility such as CSF to help mitigate the brute force attempts: Thank you.
