pure-ftpd.pid: No such file or directory error
Hi there,
I keep getting these alerts everyday multiple times a day! I have confirmed that the file IS indeed there:
ALERT:

cat: /var/run/pure-ftpd.pid: No such file or directory
kill: usage: kill [-s sigspec | -n signum | -sigspec] pid | jobspec ... or kill -l [sigspec]
[root@servername run]# ls -lat pure*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6 Sep 11 06:50 pure-ftpd.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6 Sep 11 06:50 pure-authd.pid
What to do to stop these? The email comes from Cron and the title is:
/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/php /usr/share/ilabs_antimalware/cron/cronjobs.php
ilabs_antimalware is Pyxsoft AntiMalware.

Sure you are using an other FTP server to switch to pure that you are not detecting the plugin. It is recommended that you install pure-ftp and installed it as you run the command /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_rpms --fix to solve the incident or otherwise reinstall the plugin. 0 -
Hello, Are you able to reproduce the issue when manually running that command via SSH as the account username it's created under? Are you using any third-party applications such as CageFS on this system? Thank you. 0 -
I ran the command above as root. All seemed okay..... I now have the same issue. Getting that alert every 10 minutes. I have Pure-FTPD selected as my FTP Server.... the file exists in /var/run/pure-ftpd.pid but it says it doesn't exist! I don't get it.... 0 -
I just checked again.... pure-ftpd.pid is no longer in that folder! I have ALSO been getting alerts of FTPD failing, then recovering 5 min later: Service Check Raw Output The subprocess "/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv_ftpd" reported error number 9 when it ended. Try removing the service and then reinstalling it. If this does not work, this command line may save your life: /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_rpms --fix 0 -
The subprocess "/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv_ftpd" reported error number 9 when it ended.

Opened a ticket..... even after updating the file in /etc/cron.d/ and restarting crond service it still alerts every 10 min! grrr... 0
