Check the logs at /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log while browsing the phpmyadmin and paste them here.

Hello, Please see the following thread and verify if the affected server is using cPanel 66.0.18 or newer: "Token mismatch" makes PHPMyAdmin unusable Thank you.

I just installed cPanel on a brand new VPS its running v66.0.23 and I'm getting the same error. However for me it only concerns an account that has a subdomain as its main domain. The one from WHM directly runs fine.

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? Thank you.

We're also having this issue, but it seems to be only affecting one/few user(s). We're running version 66.0.26. Forcing an update doesn't fix the issue.

Can you verify the affected accounts are not missing the /home/$username/tmp or /home/$username/etc directories? Thank you.

I forgot about this thread as we fixed the issue. The problem was exactly that the client had deleted the etc folder. Somehow a lot of our clients think it's not gonna cause any issues deleting default files or directories.
