Imap and Exim "appears to be down"
Hi.
I'm currently experiencing problems with EXIM and IMAP on my server.
Here is my config :
- Dedicated server
- Centos 7 with pre-installed cPanel
I got this server for 8 months and all was fine. But 10 days ago I had to reinstall it. So I did it with same previous config, restored all accounts....
But since I did that, EXIM and IMAP services are not working properly.
Here's for example what I got :
Service Name
imap
Service Status
failed ?
Notification
The service "imap" appears to be down.
Service Check Method
The system failed to connect to this service"s TCP/IP port.
Reason
TCP Transaction Log:
<< * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE IDLE NAMESPACE STARTTLS AUTH=PLAIN AUTH=LOGIN] Dovecot ready.
>> A001 LOGIN __cpanel__service__auth__imap__aorbigQJddWYjZX0yjLixDX045JMc7sxHBYVqBekvNEbTiChXHzoOMqJ04MLlsLv jizuoEEzpessXi9DX1ulR_ZsVgPizd2H6Oy1a6pXVywvmlI_mLD3tpdD58SHWOrA
<< * OK Waiting for authentication process to respond..
imap: ** OK Waiting for authentication process to respond.. != A001 OK]

This happens 3-4 every day. If anyone got any clue about this problem. Thank you for your help.

Hello, It looks like the services are timing out. Could you check to see what the server load when these services fail if this continues to happen? EX: uptime
Thank you.0 -
Hi. Here's the load average when it happens several times : Memory Information Used 3.2 GB Available 28.17 GB Installed 31.37 GB Load Information 0.03 0.11 0.19 ------------------------------ Memory Information Used 3.48 GB Available 27.89 GB Installed 31.37 GB Load Information 0.60 0.48 0.38 ------------------------------ Memory Information Used 2.99 GB Available 28.38 GB Installed 31.37 GB Load Information 0.16 0.20 0.27 ------------------------------ Memory Information Used 2.84 GB Available 28.53 GB Installed 31.37 GB Load Information 0.70 0.50 0.39

Hello, The output shows the load average is normal. Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? Thank you. 0 -
