Optimizing Wordpress - Caching Solutions? Cache

I've got a pretty powerful VPS: 4vCore, 8GB RAM, SSD Storage. I'm starting to develop more Wordpress sites as opposed to custom, from-scratch PHP. I know Wordpress will never be as fast as built-from-scratch PHP as it's doing a lot in the background but I'd like to optimize the performance. Looking for someone running WHM/Cpanel that's tested various configurations and plug-ins and compared results as far as performance improvements as to what they recommend?
