JetBackup's DR Clones
I have installed JetBackup on our server, they have an interesting option they call DR Clone
If I understand it correctly, we should essentially be able to mirror our server to another cPanel host every hour, if our server crashes, we could make a few DNS changes and be live within minutes.
Similarly, we should be able to use our server as a backup destination for client cPanel hosts.
Is anyone using JetBackup in this fashion? How is it working out?

Hi John, This exactly what the DR Clone feature was made for. You can hold live instance of your accounts in another cPanel server, so in case of a disaster, you don't to to restore backups - simply migrate dns records. I am not sure though if you should treat this method as a "backup", there is no supported way of restoring files from the clones. Thanks, Eli. 0 -
Eli, Thank you for replying. I agree, for a number of reasons, this isn't a backup, however if it works as described, it's an excellent supplement to our backup process. I am testing JetBackup with the DR Clone feature now. Hopefully, I will not need it. John -- John Schmerold Katy Computer Systems, Inc St Louis 0 -
