Email Alias Setup Question
Hi All,
What is the best way to setup an alias to an active email address in cPanel.
Like for example, we have testusernumber1@mydomain.com, then we wanted to be able to also send email to that same account via the email address test1@mydomain.com.
Please help, we have plenty of email users that would like to have 3 or more aliases on their work email address.
thanks in advance...

Hello, You can setup a forwarder to forward all email from "test1@domain.tld" to "testusernumber1@domain.tld": Forwarders - Version 66 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
Hi cPanelMichael, Thanks for the tip. However, we have an autoresponder setup to all non-existent emails of @mydomain.com Will it be possible to setup an alias as forwarder but wouldn't receive the autoresponder that we have set? also, Is there any way to create a forwarder for a group? 6 or more recipients for 1 alias? 0 -
Hello, You may need to setup a global email filter: Global Email Filters - Version 66 Documentation - cPanel Documentation How to Configure Mail Filters - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation You could setup a separate email account for the autoresponder, and configure the filter to redirect email from certain addresses to the email account associated with that autoresponder, with additional rules to redirect emails from specific recipients to certain email addresses. Thank you. 0 -
