Backups in VPS

Hi I currently have enabled a daily and a weekly backup in my whm/cPanel. As far as I can tell, I'm occupying the double of space since the days of the week of each are not the same. Is there any advantage in having this 2 backups at the same time? Or is it just a waste of space? Kind regards, Kepler

  It completely depends on your requirement, like do you really need to keep daily and weekly backup and how important is everyday backup for you. If you need to save space you can delete the unwanted backup option and folder.

  What retentions policies you have set for those daily and weekly backups? Can you share a screenshot with us here..

  Hello, It's possible to have an older weekly backup, depending on your retention settings. As far as keeping multiple copies, that depends on your preference. For instance, if a user deletes a file and doesn't realize they need the backup until a few days later, then you may find keeping weekly backups useful.
