IMAP Bog: Lowering Server Load

Hey guys, Have tons of customers - all connecting to my server and it seems to be getting a bit much at some points throughout the day. Any tips for decreasing the load caused by IMAP? Maybe increasing "Idle Check Interval" to 60 from 30 for example or any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

  Hello, The mail server configuration settings are found in Web Host Manager at: "WHM Home " Service Configuration " Mailserver Configuration" You could try increasing the "Idle Check Interval" value to "60" to see if it helps with the server load, but there's no way to know for sure if it will help without making the change. Generally, you'd want to make a single change at a time, monitor the load, and see what helps. A value to consider decreasing is "Maximum Number of Authentication Processes", but ensure to monitor /var/log/maillog after making any change to verify it doesn't lead to authentication failures.
