SSLCertificateKeyFile empty causes apache to not start
Hello,
Just this morning I woke up to my apache server being down, because a certain vhost had an empty (no arguments) SSLCertificateKeyFile line in the SSL section
So it looked like this
SSLCertificateFile /var/cpanel/ssl/apache_tls/domain.com/combined
SSLCertificateKeyFile
And now I added a new domain threw WHM, and same thing that domain has an empty
SSLCertificateKeyFile
Any idea what
WHM v68.0.6

Hi codepoet, This likely means your EasyApache updates have been failing and the template files were not updated to support v68. Please open a ticket at cPanel Customer Portal so we can help you work though this. 0 -
As Nick pointed out, the 'ea-apache24-config-runtime', which provides the EA4 'ssl_vhost.default' template, likely hasn't been updated for support with cPanel 68's new SSL Storage method, which should drastically improve efficiency with SSL related functions. If you review your update logs/emails, you may see the issue leading to RPM updates failing. In the meantime, you should be able to issue an update to the package manually: # yum update ea-apache24-config-runtime
With that said, certainly open a ticket with us and we will help you resolve the issue, as well as determine why the RPM updates may have been failing. Let us know if you have any more questions or issues or if you open a Support ticket.0
