Compromised wordpress questions

I have a hacking issue, One of the old wordpress install on my server was hacked . I clean the wordpress instalation and it seems that i solved the situation. However today i found some malicius files that were uploaded today in the following folders cpmove.psql .subaccounts .sqmaildata .cphorde folders hvae the permission 750 or 700 All of these folders are on the root (same level as public_html). The public_html seems untouched (yet). Can someone tell me what i should do and how does this attacker manage to upload in these folders. ?

  Hello, You should check cpanel access logs if its uploaded through cpanel >> file manager other wise check ftp upload logs in /var/log/messages. You should set higher strength pass with 2FA. WP and plugins/themes/ all should be always updated.

  Hello, The directories you listed are normal and part of features associated with cPanel (e.g. Horde, SquirrelMail, User Manager). Are you referring to the directories themselves, or do you mean malicious files were uploaded within these directories? Thank you.
