    The hostname for me was already a mistake and I corrected it a few days ago, however, the problem was not resolved.

    Hello, Is this only happening for emails sent to Gmail, or is this for any remote mail server? What output do you see in /var/log/exim_mainlog when an email fails? EX:
    exigrep user@gmail /var/log/exim_mainlog
