Two instances of cPanel account running?
I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with a WHMCS installation.
The first symptom was CRON jobs running twice every day at the same time even though we have confirmed they are properly scheduled to run once.
We then started getting duplicate email notices sent from the system with differing info - one set had correct payment info, the other did not.
After some digging we are seeing that everything (emails, automatic logins, etc) is happening from two different IP address on the same server. One from the correct "shared" server IP, and the other from an unused IP on the server - so it seems like there are somehow two instances of this account running.
Is this even possible? and if so, how can we check/confirm this theory and then fix it??

Mystery solved.. The datacenter had made a temporary mirrored copy of the server to work out some unrelated issues with other accounts on the box.. Our cron was running on the mirrored server causing the duplication.. We yanked the plug and the problem was resolved. 0 -
