Changing Nameservers Question
Hello
I want to merge 2 vps'ses but not sure if this is possibe and what disadvantages it might have.
If i move all sites from the main vps vps1.domainname.nl to vps5.domainname.nl. Vps1 points to all my own vps'ses in its dns because they are all with domainname.nl hostname. Not the best setup but they are also covert in remote dns cluster.
If then i add the ip's from vps1 to vps5 as ns1 and ns2 in whm in the ns3 and ns4 spot of the whm setup. Will that then work and keep all sites running. I assume i can only create 4 nameservers in whm setup?
Hope this makes sense

Hello, Changing the name servers in "WHM >> Basic WebHost Manage Setup" will only alter the default name servers used in new DNS zones upon account creation. That said, as long as you transfer the accounts/zones to the new VPS, and add the existing IP addresses to the new VPS, then the domain names should properly resolve to the new server. Thank you. 0
