Replace old website by the new website

i have done everything possible to see my new website live, instead it keeps showing the old. here are how far i have gone 1. i have uploaded the new website in public_html 2. i tried changing the old to a different name on the settings tab so that i could change the new to the url i wanted ie - Removed - But the highlighted old url won't edit please give me a step by step way out?

  Please don't post links to your website, I've removed it. You've uploaded your sites files to a directory inside your public_html directory of the same name, similar to this example: example.com/example/ You need to move the files from that /example/ directory, into the public_html directory so they can be viewed at example.com properly. Any files from your old site left in public_html directory should be removed. Your Hosting Provider should have been able to help you with this. ;)
