Change hostname, but restart dns server still show old server name
I just noticed, when I changed the hostname to new server name. Let's say NEW.SERVERHOSTNAME.
And then through WHM I restarted the DNS server, the WHM show result below, where its still mentioned the OLD.SERVERNAME :
Any idea to make it show the new hostname?
Waiting for "named" to start ""waiting for "named" to initialize "finished.
Service Status
named (/usr/sbin/named -u named -c /etc/named.conf) is running as named with PID 11003 (systemd+/proc check method).

Hi, When you change your server hostname, the system preserves the old hostname so that currently-running services can function in a consistent environment until you reboot the server. Please check once again after rebooting your server. :) Let me know if that helps.;) 0 -
