Disk Usage Exceeded, File Manager Inaccurate
Upon failing several times to quick install a Wordpress Site, I noticed my disk usage kept growing regardless of manually deleting the Wordpress folder through File Manager after each failed attempt.
Now I have exceeded my disk quota according to cPanel. However, when I expect the File Manager, the amount of memory being used in public_html is far less than the amount shown in the Disk Manager.
Is it possible that there are hidden files I have to remove that File Manager does not show? I mainly wish to free up space and remove any unnecessary files that have caused me to go over my quota.
Any assistance is much appreciated.

You might want to take a look inside the public_html directory to see which directory in there is using all the space. 0 -
All the folders listed in public_html are shown to take up as little as 4KB. Which is not correct considering I've uploaded images that take up much more memory than that. Is there a reason why folders do not display the accurate amount of memory they take up? 0 -
In the first image in your first post above, scroll to the bottom of the Disk Usage page. There you can expand the tree and drill down to the exact directory using the most storage space. You've got one there with the word backup in it. I'd peek at that first I think. 0 -
Thank you, expanding the disk usage tree was exactly what I needed. Thanks again for your help. 0 -
