Account Restoration With Different Username

Situation: - new account provisioned with a new domain - migration from another server to new server needed - backup completed and backup.tar.gz has a different username but the same domain name from a new provisioned account - try to use

  Hello, Would you like to keep both accounts active, or are you attempting to replace the existing account with the one from the backup archive? Thank you.

  Objective: - replace the new account with contents of the old migrated account while maintaining the username of the new account without needing to copy via SFTP or SSH. Thank you, Michael.

  Hello, Do you need any content from the existing cPanel account? If not, you could terminate it, and then restore the migrated account. Upon restoration, update the domain name and username to your preference using "WHM >> Modify an Account". Thank you.

  Thanks, Micahel. What I end up doing was to modify the username and DB prefixes of the $ewAccount and overwrite its content with the migrated data. For now, seem to work but keeping a close eye on it. Thanks a ton!!!
