Transfering from old server, using same remote mysql server
We have an old WHM/cPanel server and need to transfer all accounts to the the new server.
We are using remote database server on old server, so we have connected remote database server as well to the new one also.
When we transfering account from old server to new one, we dont need to transfer databases (in case of using same remote mysql server), so we leaved database transfer unmarked in transfer tools.
Great! everything looking fine and account transfer going fast...
But a problem! Users cannot see their database on the new server cPanel, when they visit mysql database in their cPanel.
So what need to do in advance to fix this issue?

Hello, If you skip transferring the databases, then you must associate the database and database users with the cPanel accounts using the following option on the new server: "WHM >> Database Map Tool" Thank you. 0 -
Its about more than 5000 database for re-mapping! Can you tell me better and faster method? Or maybe a method for making database map backup from old server to restore on the new server? 0 -
Hello, The better approach is to include the databases during the account transfer process, and then simply enable the Remote MySQL server after the transfer process completes. This would keep the database and database user configurations in-place, and still allow for the use of the Remote MySQL server post-transfer. Thank you. 0
