Hi, Can you initiate active log checking while you do this. # tail -f /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_logs Once you execute the above command, try performing the editing part on the WHM again and see if you see any error.

It could be that your RPM database is not in good health. You could try running the command below:
    /scripts/find_and_fix_rpm_issues
It's also possible the server is experiencing high I/O wait. Have you monitored the system resources when this happens?

Thanks for the replies.. I've tried the above and the RPM reports no errors. The tail command didn't produce anything in my console. I've found how to bring my sites back up. If i revert to a backup httpd config file, they come alive. I got up this morning and they were down again. Just reverted back to the older http and they're back. I can't seem to get the older httpd file to stick, cpanel keeps reverting back to the newest one.

I just checked and it failed last night after an auto-ssl cert was installed on one of my domains. Does this trigger a re-write of httpd.conf?

Hello, Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? Reverting the Apache configuration file is not a valid solution as that file is rebuilt upon several actions (e.g. new account creation, adding subdomains, etc). Thank you.

Hello, By any chance do you have the ticket number? We can review that ticket for you and hopefully get your issue resolved.
