Special character in local part of mail account name
Hello, i need to create mail f&b@mydomain.com but in cpanel i can't: You can only enter letters, numbers, periods, hyphens, and underscores.
In RFC 2822 i read that
The local-part of the email address may use any of these ASCII characters:
[LIST]
uppercase and lowercase Latin letters A to Z and a to z;
digits 0 to 9;
special characters !#$%&'*+-/=?^_`{|}~;
[LIST]
dot ., provided that it is not the first or last character unless quoted, and provided also that it does not appear consecutively unless quoted
Can someone tell me a workaround or a trick for do that?

Hi, You may not be able to create those mail account, as it causes authentication problem for mails.. Those signs are not allowed in the email accounts.. 0 -
Hello, This was brought up as part of internal case CPANEL-17169. It was determined that support for special characters in the local-part of email addresses is not offered due to some legacy requirements (e.g. allowing "%" instead of "@" in email usernames since some mail clients don't allow the use of the "@" character in the username). I encourage you to open a feature request if you'd like to see support for this added to the product in the future: Submit A Feature Request Thank you. 0
