2 questions about Backup retention

• If I have 7 days checked for daily backups with retention: 3, is it saving 3 of those selected days or 21 in total?
• If I change the retention from 3 to 1, will the 2 older extras be removed automatically?

  Hello, The video linked in the previous response is helpful.

  If I have 7 days checked for daily backups with retention: 3, is it saving 3 of those selected days or 21 in total?

  
  In this scenario, the system will retain the three most recent daily backups, and backups will generate all seven days.

  If I change the retention from 3 to 1, will the 2 older extras be removed automatically?

  
  The older two backups are removed on the next backup generation. Thank you.
