The domain sub.domain.com can not be created error
I want to host sub domain "sub.domain.com" in my own cPanel VPS server while keeping the main domain "domain.come" with godaddy.
I tried to create few sub domains from "Addon Domain" but I keep getting the following error.
(XID 4r7mtn) The domain "sub.domian.com" may not be created by "john" because "domain.com" is already owned by another user.
I read a cPanel documentation where I can enable from Tweak Settings but it has the following warning.
Do not enable this option. It can cause serious security issues.
How do I authenticate resolve this issue?
Any help is appreciated :)

Hello, It looks like you'd need to enable the following option under the "Domains" tab in "WHM >> Tweak Settings": Allow cPanel users to create subdomains across accounts Per it's description: Allow cPanel users to create subdomains (including the creation of addon domains) of domains that other users own. The restriction does not apply to resellers in WHM. Enabling this is not recommended. It's not recommended because if domain.tld uses name servers associated with the cPanel server, then any cPanel user on the server could then create and take control over subdomains of that parent domain name. Thus, you may simply want to temporarily enable that option to create the addon or subdomain, and then disable it again. Thank you. 0
