Some files and directories still exist after backup
Hello, i do a weekly retention backup and my files goes to my local ftp server.
But as i see at the server side, there are directories and some files inside...
49875
The accounts folder is empty but sytems folder
49879
has two folders with files insides...
49883
At WHM i haven't "Retain backups in the default backup directory."
49887
Why theses files are there?

Hello, Those are your system backup files from the "Backup System Files" setting in "WHM >> Backup Configuration". You have to manually configure the remote backup destination configuration file if you want them transported to the remote destination. We document how to do this at: System Backups - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
How to avoid these files?
You can disable the generation of these files by browsing to "WHM >> Backup Configuration" and disabling the "Backup System Files" option. You can also manually delete the existing /backup/$date/system" directories if you want the existing backups of those files removed. Thank you.0 -

Hello, You can see a full list of the system files and directories that are included with system backups at: System Backups - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation It's not enough to restore an entire server, but it's useful if one of the files becomes corrupt or is accidentally modified/removed. Thank you.0
