Hello, Those are your system backup files from the "Backup System Files" setting in "WHM >> Backup Configuration". You have to manually configure the remote backup destination configuration file if you want them transported to the remote destination. We document how to do this at: System Backups - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you.

    How to avoid these files?

You can disable the generation of these files by browsing to "WHM >> Backup Configuration" and disabling the "Backup System Files" option. You can also manually delete the existing /backup/$date/system" directories if you want the existing backups of those files removed. Thank you.

Hello, You can see a full list of the system files and directories that are included with system backups at: System Backups - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation It's not enough to restore an entire server, but it's useful if one of the files becomes corrupt or is accidentally modified/removed. Thank you.
