Password Protected Directories

Hello everyone, Sorry to bother you but I was hoping someone might be able to help me with this one. We have set up a password protected directory using cPanel which works fine. The issue we have is that users never seem to be logged out. I've just tried it on a couple of browsers and even when I close the browser completely, I am still able to relaunch it and access the password protected directory again, without having to enter the username / password. I have not saved the username / password. Is there a way to force the user to be logged out automatically? Kind regards James
