Directing one subdomain as an alias for another subdomain
WHM v68
I have an account "siteB.com" which has various subdomain accounts set up, such as "admin.siteB.com" and "members.siteB.com" etc. (to be absolutely clear this example is three seperate accounts on WHM under one main domain).
This works fine.
I have a NEW account for "siteH.com" that I've just set up, and I want to set that admin.SiteH.com becomes an alias for the account "admin.siteB.com".
But I have an error:
> There was an error when the system attempted to create the alias. Park::park failed: (XID fjeyd5) The domain "admin.SiteH.com" may not be created by "siteB_account" because "SiteH.com" is already owned by another user.
I have set in Tweak Settings "Allow WHM users to create subdomains across accounts" to be TRUE. Both accounts have the same owner.
Allow Remote domains is set to ON.
This process (generating subdomains) works fine and is already used across various other accounts (such as exampled with SteB.com) on the server. The domain DNS is also entirely handled on the server.
I have read:
Separate Accounts for Subdomains?
and:
Subdomain redirecting to another domain on my server
and:
Aliases - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation
but can't see the light. What have I missed, what do I need to do to let one subdomain become an alias of another account (which happens to also be a subdomain)?
Cheers

Hello, You mentioned enabling "Allow WHM users to create subdomains across accounts". However, you would also need to enable the following option under the "Domains" tab in "WHM >> Tweak Settings" for the scenario you described to work: "Allow cPanel users to create subdomains across accounts" Note the difference between "WHM" and "cPanel" in these two options. Let us know if this helps. Thank you. 0
