Cannot Update cPanel Insufficient space issue
Hi,
I setup WHM CPanel on Amazon AWS. When trying to update WHM it will not do it, error "cPanel & WHM cannot update due to insufficient disk space in the staging directory, '/usr/local/cpanel'. "
It needs 3Gb space. On checking the AWS instance, it has 17Gb free as below listed. Cannot see what is blocking the WHM update. Any advice is welcome. :-)

At bottom of the page, here: WebHost Manager "Server Configuration "Update Preferences There's an option to change the staging directory you might be able to make use of. 0 -
Many thanks Infopro. Is there a way to increase the directory size of '/usr/local/cpanel'? Alternatively, to which directory should I point the Staging Directory setting? 0 -

No, but you might try cleaning it up some if possible. Open google, search for: /usr/ full cpanel site:forums.cpanel.net You'll find more results than you have time to read. :)Alternatively, to which directory should I point the Staging Directory setting?
That's up to you. Have a look at some of those threads first though; you might get by with some maintenance.0 -
